Background: Who Is Braze?
Braze is a publicly listed customer engagement platform best known among mobile-first, consumer brands. Where traditional marketing automation was built around scheduled email campaigns, Braze was built around events: each app open, purchase or cart update streams in and can change what a customer sees next, within the same session.
Its Canvas journeys orchestrate push notifications, in-app messages, web, email, SMS and WhatsApp from one place, and BrazeAI adds AI-driven choice of content, offer, channel and send time per person. As Salesforce's Patrick Stokes put it, most of the "wow" in a customer interaction comes from knowing the customer and responding at just the right moment — and Braze was built to turn live behaviour into exactly that.
How Braze Helps the Overall Salesforce Solution
Salesforce already has the customer context (Data 360), the applications (Sales, Service, Commerce, Marketing Cloud Next) and the agents (Agentforce). What it gains is a proven real-time, mobile-first engagement engine. The diagram below shows one possible way the pieces could fit.

The Real-Time Agentic Loop
If the deal closes as planned, it could bring together something marketers have wanted for years: a system that senses, decides and acts while the moment is still happening. This is KVP's view of how that could work — not an official roadmap.
1. Sense
Braze catches live signals — app opens, abandoned carts, a match ending.
2. Know
Data 360 brings one profile, with history, consent, loyalty and open service cases.
3. Decide
Agentforce and the Campaign Agent set the goal; BrazeAI picks the offer, channel and timing for each person.
4. Act
Braze and Marketing Cloud Next deliver push, in-app, WhatsApp, email and two-way conversations.
5. Learn
Every result flows back, so the next decision is smarter.
Marketers steer it all through SIForce — from Slack, Claude or any AI tool via MCP.
Just imagine
India wins a cricket final at 10:40 pm. Within minutes, a food brand reaches millions of fans with a personal offer, skips anyone with an open complaint, and hands replies to a commerce agent for checkout or a service agent for support — all approved from Slack on a phone.
How It Benefits Customers
B2C brands with apps
Mobile-first, in-the-moment engagement — push, in-app and live updates — alongside the CRM and service history Salesforce already holds.
Existing Marketing Cloud customers
A real-time engagement and decisioning layer that could complement Marketing Cloud Next journeys rather than replace the data and consent foundation you have built.
Service and CX teams
Marketing that knows about an open complaint before it sends an offer — and replies that can hand off to sales or service agents.
Marketing operations
Fewer point tools and integrations to maintain if engagement, data and agents converge on one platform — subject to how Salesforce packages it.
Four Predictions
Data 360 becomes the shared memory for Braze
Profiles and audiences flowing both ways between Braze and Data 360.
BrazeAI Decisioning becomes the next-best-action brain
Decisioning that works across Marketing Cloud Next, not only inside Braze.
Marketing goes headless
Campaigns launched and approved from Slack or Claude, not only from a marketing UI.
Customers' own AI agents become a channel
Brands engaging through the assistants customers use, not only through inboxes and apps.
These are KVP's expectations, not announced Salesforce plans.
KVP Approach: Build the Loop Foundations Now
Why it matters. In our Marketing Cloud and Data 360 work, the barrier to real-time marketing is rarely the send engine. It is fragmented profiles, unclear consent, and no link between marketing and open service cases. Braze makes the "act" step faster; the value still depends on the "know" step being right.
Our recommendation: don't budget for Braze inside Salesforce yet — packaging, pricing and integration have not been announced. Instead, get the loop's foundations ready: unified profiles and identity resolution in Data 360, a clean consent model across channels, service-case suppression rules, and a clear list of the live events that matter to your business.
For existing Braze and Marketing Cloud users: map where each platform runs today, which journeys are real-time versus scheduled, and where data is duplicated. That map will make any future consolidation a decision, not a scramble.
How we plan to work with it: KVP will track the deal through close and prepare reference designs connecting live events, Data 360 context, Agentforce decisions and human approval in Slack — validated against what Salesforce actually ships.
Five Practical Steps to Prepare
Unify your profiles
Bring app, web, commerce and service data into Data 360 with identity resolution, so every decision starts from one customer.
Fix consent once
Document channel-level consent and preferences — push, WhatsApp, SMS, email — in one model that every system respects.
List your moments
Identify the five to ten live events (cart abandonment, app inactivity, a delivery delay, a match result) worth responding to in minutes.
Connect marketing to service
Add rules that suppress offers for customers with open complaints and route replies to the right sales or service agent.
Decide who approves
Agree which campaigns agents may launch automatically and which need human approval — before the technology makes it easy.
Official Sources and Availability
As of October 23, 2026, this is a signed definitive agreement, not a closed acquisition, and remains subject to closing conditions. The architecture, Real-Time Agentic Loop and predictions above are KVP's illustrative view, not an official Salesforce roadmap.
