Salesforce Winter '27 continues the platform's shift toward agent-led selling — with AI and Agentforce taking centre stage alongside practical improvements to everyday sales workflows. Sales Cloud itself is being renamed Agentforce Sales, and the release answers the two questions sales leaders ask most: where does the AI actually save my reps time, and how do I trust what the agents are doing? Winter '27's answers are concrete: meetings that convert themselves into next steps, forecasts that show deal risk instead of just numbers, and prospecting agents whose every decision can be inspected.

Key Sales Cloud Features in Winter '27
1. Agentforce Engagement & Prospecting
Agentforce Lead Nurturing is renamed Agentforce Engagement and broadened to ongoing buyer engagement. Prospecting agents can now be scheduled to run automatically on chosen days and times, prioritize contacts who engaged with your business in the last 12 months, research accounts owned by other users, and give admins and reps full transparency through the Agent Activity tab — drill into any agent session to see how many records were reviewed and why each was qualified or ruled out. Engagement agents are built in the new Agent Script-based Agentforce Builder, and you can require human approval for every email, just first outreach, or via a custom flow.
2. AI-Suggested Follow-Up Actions
With Einstein Conversation Insights and the Salesforce mobile app, post-meeting voice notes and discussion insights are automatically converted into concrete next steps on the event record — send requested materials, update the opportunity, schedule the follow-up. A meeting summary and key decisions sit right where reps need them, so post-meeting admin largely disappears.
3. Pipeline Forecasting Improvements
Forecasting is now Pipeline Forecasting — and it is no longer just a number. Deal risk assessments, methodology scores, contact insights, agent activity and activity heatmaps are integrated directly into the pipeline forecast view, so managers spot which opportunities are healthy, which need attention and which are heading for trouble without clicking around.
4. Relationship Maps Enhancements
Visual stakeholder mapping is upgraded for complex account hierarchies and buying committees. Reps can update a contact's opportunity role, department and notes directly from a side panel without leaving the map, and remove or restore connections that are no longer relevant — keeping maps tidy, current and focused on the people who matter to the deal. Available in Enterprise, Performance and Unlimited editions with Sales and Agentforce 1 Sales Edition.
5. AI Call Coaching
Sales calls are analyzed automatically to produce coaching metrics. Define up to eight active competencies that matter to your team, and see ratings and notes on the Coaching tab of video call records. With Agentforce for Sales, an AI coaching agent evaluates recorded calls at scale; without it, managers can still rate calls manually on a simple three-point scale.
Five More Sales Updates Worth Noting
Sales Cloud is now Agentforce Sales
Salesforce is renaming Sales Cloud to Agentforce Sales. You will still see Sales Cloud references in the app and documentation during the transition.
Agentforce Sales Management guided setup
Configure automated account and pipeline field updates through new guided workflows in Salesforce Go — including a streamlined setup for new Pipeline Management users.
Sales Account Plans in Salesforce Go
A complete guided configuration experience for Account Plans, with user access granted through a single permission set instead of object-by-object setup.
Einstein Activity Capture exclusions
Fine-tune which emails and events are excluded from capture using keywords and wildcard rules, keeping sensitive communications out of the activity stream.
Spiff document and reporting improvements
Dynamic merge fields now populate live quota values in document templates, and a status indicator shows whether the commission engine is ready before you export a report.
KVP's View: Where Winter '27 Pays Back Fastest
- Start with follow-up actions and voice notes — they require almost no change management and give every rep back hours each week.
- Treat Pipeline Forecasting as an adoption play, not a feature: retrain managers to run reviews from deal risk and activity heatmaps rather than rep self-reporting.
- Schedule prospecting agents around your selling calendar, and use the Agent Activity tab in your first governance review — the qualify/rule-out reasoning is your audit trail.
- Define coaching competencies before switching on AI call coaching; eight slots force useful prioritisation of what 'good' means for your team.
- Plan the Agentforce Sales rename into internal comms and training material so users are not confused when labels change.
