Three partners, three numbers, and no explanation of the difference?
In India, Salesforce implementation is priced on effort, not a list price: the number of clouds, users and roles, ERP integrations, data quality, custom development and change management. Licences are contracted separately with Salesforce. Most partners quote in INR plus GST, either fixed-price per phase or time and materials after a short discovery.
The effort drivers are universal. These six are the ones that specifically shape an India-based programme.
Salesforce subscriptions are contracted directly with Salesforce, per user per cloud, usually annually. Implementation fees are the professional-services effort. Treat them as two lines in your budget.
Indian entities are invoiced in INR with GST at prevailing rates. Export-of-service billing to overseas entities is handled separately, so confirm the contracting entity early — it changes the tax treatment, not the effort.
Workshops in your time zone, in-person UAT and go-live support at your plant or office, and a delivery lead reachable in IST remove the review latency that inflates offshore-only programmes.
SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Tally and homegrown ERPs are common in Indian mid-market and enterprise estates. The integration surface — not user count — usually decides the cost.
Indian data-protection expectations, sector rules for BFSI and healthcare, and consent handling add design and documentation effort. Cheaper to plan than to retrofit.
Multi-language training, dealer and distributor onboarding and low-bandwidth mobile use are real line items for manufacturing, FMCG and dairy rollouts across Indian territories.
Ask which model a partner is quoting. Comparing a fixed-price phase against a time-and-materials estimate is the most common reason two quotes look incomparable.
Best when scope is well defined after discovery. You get a fixed fee per phase, a fixed deliverable list and a change-control process for anything new.
Best for evolving scope, integrations with unknowns, or rescue work on an existing org. Effort is billed by role and rate card against an agreed estimate.
A named squad — admin, developer, consultant, architect share — reserved monthly. Suits continuous release roadmaps after go-live.
A short, separately priced discovery that produces the architecture, phasing and a costed plan. The safest way to avoid a wrong number on either side.
Tell us your clouds, user count and current systems. A delivery lead in Bengaluru comes back with phasing, effort and an indicative timeline.
Tell us where you are today. A Salesforce delivery lead — not a call centre — replies within one business day with indicative scope, phasing and effort.
